Hah!  Perusing through the archive, I can definitely see what you are 
getting at here ... :)

I tried to enter the diagnostic mode for the climate control system by 
holding down the 'outside temp' button and then pushing the 'warmer' 
button, but it didn't go.  It wouldn't go into diag. mode.  Does this 
DEFINITELY mean that the climate control unit is SHOT or could there be 
another reason?  Am I doing something wrong?

Note:  disconnecting the unit does NOT cause the fan to stop -- it keeps 
going merrily along.  I hope I don't have 2 problems with this thing...

Ideas?
