I haven't tried anything but match-porting an Audi manifold but on a Chevy
Beretta GTZ with a Quad-4 motor, we cut the manifold in two pieces, ported
both pieces, had it welded back together, ground down the welding bead and
then had it sandblasted to restore the original cast texture ... you could
not tell the difference visually but you sure could tell the difference in
performance!
