1991 200tq flare info needed...

I just returned from an over-and-back trip to Albuquerque, NM in my '89 200q
and found myself caught in one hellacious sand-storm just outside of Gallup,
NM early this afternoon.

On the positive side, I didn't end up on my roof like the Suburban pulling a
house trailer (scary to watch but fortunately no one was hurt). On the less
positive side, my windshield and headlights are severely pitted, the trim up
front is equally pitted and, worst of all, the paint on the hood, fenders, A
pillars, roof, driver's door and bumper cover is completely trashed!

Since pearl white is (apparently) difficult to match, I'm hoping to convince
my insurance company to repaint the whole car. Also, since I'll be going to
8x17 wheels as soon as they arrive from the UK (3 to 4 weeks, I was told Feb
2nd ... sure!), I'm thinking about having my fenders flared ala the '91 200q
especially if the car is going to be painted anyway. Even if they won't pay
to paint the whole car, it probably makes sense to pay the rest myself since
it will still represent a discount of 50% or more and I have a hunch it will
take more than just rolling the fender lips to get these wheels to fit using
215/45-17 BFG Comp T/As.

I've seen pictures of Ned Ritchie's car and it looks like he did this to his
'86 5ktq fairly successfully. My bodyshop friend is confident he can make a
set for mine but would like me to provide him with some good detailed photos
that he can work from (it's difficult to determine all the contours involved
from the handful of magazine photos I have and we both want him to duplicate
the factory look as closely as possible).

Is there anyone out there with a '91 200q who is willing to take some photos
of their fenders for me? I'll pay for the film & developing and maybe throw
in some beer money to boot ... get in touch and we can work out the details.

One last positive note: for the price of replacing the US-spec headlights, I
believe I can buy a set of European ones instead! Oh, happy day... :^)
