Mobil 1 change interval

For a car that goes 10k/yr, you have no problem
with 2 oil changes from a mileage standpoint.
That's my standard drain interval with Mobil 1.

However, 6 months is lengthy.  It IS audi's
suggested interval, but that's optimistic.

If the car is generally driven around town (not enteneded 
highway running), you will tend not to burn off water,
acids, etc -- and therefore should change more often.

If you do get it GOOD and hot occasionally, its probably 
fine - synthetics generate less byproducts and tend
to break down more slowly.

On the other hand - maybe you should stay with dino oil
and 2.5k change intervals.
