it's the weekend of June 16th... It may have been relatively cheap, but with
Villeneuve in the fray, ticket prices have gone up about 25%.

I saw the '92 race - last year of traction control. I have a high quality
audio tape of some of the cars and some really nice photos. We were in the
hairpin, so got to see the drivers up close and personal while they were
not going all that fast.
Seeing a car approach at 185, brake to 35 for the corner and leave sight
again at 185 is something not to be missed!! Watching the disks glow red
was pretty cool as well.
We're going to forego the race this year. My wife and I hope to take a
motorcycle school (CLASS) this year at Laguna Seca instead. We'll see.
