Yup, my '92 100 CSQ has this problem intermittently. I'm not sure,
but I think it might be bump related. That is, I go over a bump, and
motion in the corner of my eye makes me look down, and the display
shows garbage. It's getting some input, because if I change the radio
station, the garbage changes. I think it stays bad until I've shut it
off and restarted.

I'm a big fan of high-tech gadgets, but driving this car makes me
very nervous about all the electronics that can go very expensively
wrong.

By the way, my windshield wipers are positioned wrong (any ideas why?).
I can remove the nut, but they're still very solidly fixed down. Is there
some trick, like a clip or somehing holding them on?
