Steve,
I saw one of those batteries today. They are manufactured by Optima
Battery Co. 17500 E. 22nd Ave. Aurora,CO. The place I saw the battery at
wanted $119.95us. I called a 1-800 number I found on the internet, and they
wanted
$145.00us delivered. They said there was not a specific fitment for Audis,
but they gave me dimensions for the battery: 7 13/16"(19.84cm)H x 6
3/4"(17.15cm)W x 9 15/16"(25.22cm)L. The measurements of a standard Audi
battery are (approximately) 7"H x 7"W x 11"L. Weight: 39.5lb (17.92kg) No
vents are required because the battery is sealed. They are available in both
side mount and top post terminal configurations. The part numbers for the
batteries they make are:
800u - top terminal type
800s - side terminal type
850/6 - 6 volt application?

I have no interest or affiliation with Optima Batteries or anyone who sells
Optima batteries.
Hope this sheds some light on things.#8-)
