Tire bandwgon
Well, everyone seems to be talking about tires lately, so I thought I
would jump on the bandwagon. I have been running Bridgestone' for a while
now and they are absolutely amazing. They are the REO10's that were
originally designed for the front wheels of the NSX (215/45 zr-16). They
very sticky in the dry, extremely stable in the wet and Terrible in the
snow. It took a while for my local Firestone store to get them in, but I
got such a good deal on them that I couldn't pass it up. I don't know if
they are still available, but I do see Tire Rack advertising them in
every ad. I think that they want about $195/each for them (no, I didn't
pay that much), but they are very good tires. I have had SP8000's in the
past (along with a merried of other tires) and I think that their dry
handling capabilities are better than the Dunlops, but the tread wear is
not as good (always a trade off!).
Before I got these Bridgestones, I had some Mich. XGT V4's and I
thought they were JUNK! I was so displeased that I GAVE them away and
they still had 3/4 tread left. I will never buy Mich. again!
I do have a questions after all this rambling: Does anyone have any
experience with the new TOYO T1's? I have had TOYO's in the past, but
they weren't performance oriented in the least. However, I was very
pleased with them and i have heard others sing praises about TOYO as
well. I know that the T1's just came out and they seem like a very
resonablely priced tire. Just curious.
