Bruce,

If it is attached to the fuel distributator then it is the differiential
pressure regulator.  It can be changed separately.  It looks real easy to do
yourself, (4 screws & o-rings, 1 electrical connector...or maybe just 4
o-rings...have you tried tightening the screws?)  A couple of years ago they
were running around $140.00 from Import Parts Connection. (1-800-472-1144
order line; 1-209-229-0647 tech info line; 2534 N. Blackstone Ave., Fresno,
