Refutationing away. You are correct that one sensor on the flywheel is a
Crank Position Sensor (CrankFire in racing terms) the other is a RPM
Sensor for timing reference. The speed sensor for the speedo is lower
and further back on the tranny above the driver's inner CV joint.
