that was a "fyi", not a flame.
as for the hydro lock argument, you are assuming that every drop of raw
fuel that gets injected in a cold start will be expelled (or combusted),
since you think that it is not possible for multiple cold starts to lead
to hydro lock. i don't know one way or another; i'd be interested in
hearing your explanation if you have one.
my understanding is that the raw fuel builds up in the cylinders and the
plugs get fouled, so repeated unsuccessful cold starts eventually lead to
catastrophe. the liquid that drips from the exhaust of a cold running
engine, anyone knows if that is fuel or condensed water?
