Well, Hell's Bells, just about *anything* is possible ... IMHO, though, it
seems highly unlikely this scenario would ever happen. The fuel pump only
runs if the engine is running (or being cranked over) and the brief squirt
of fuel you get from the cold-start system is a LOT less than 50cc. I can
see how this might happen if you cranked the motor over 25 or 30 times and
it never fired but even then I find it a lonnggg stretch...
Of course, I DID have it happen to me once when I was diagnosing a problem
on my 4k and wedged a screwdriver under the airflow sensor flap to get the
pump pumping then was distracted by a 5-minute telephone call ... I had to
use my brake-bleeder to pump all the fuel out of the cylinders! Long-live
the hack mechanic!! :^)
