Ye olde 100



I'm sure you'll get a lot of response telling you to run fast and far from
this car (73 100LS).  My parents (bless 'em!) had two of these, a '72 and a
'74. It should be pointed out they traded an unreliable BMW 1600 (same as
2002) on the first one. While not really the same kind of car as the WMB,
they really enjoyed the first one. The '74 was not as good, had some
problems, stranded us once on vacation, but still not as bad as the WMB. They
do rust, especially in the rear floor as the battery is under the back seat.
The inboard front brakes are a PITA, and there isn't any power steering, so
they aren't much fun to park. An interesting car though; you should check it
out just for amusement at the least. I think they have an undeserved poor
reputation, and were worthy predecessors to the cars we enjoy today.
Okay, waiting to get flamed on this. Bad enough I own Fiats, now I'm a 100LS
sympathizer too.
