Normal-Slow Idle on '82 Coupe
Thanks for the replies on 'Dead Battery', useful advice coming from Mark
Werner and Bill Benham. Other advise I've gotten is that even when the car
sits there is still some current drawn by the clock. Could also be a ground
problem.
Have another niggling problem. For some time now I've had a normal/slow idle
problem. Ordinarily the car is idling at 950 rpm. After a fast trip or an
extended trip on the highway, I'll pull up to a stop and find the car idling
as low as 750 rpm which it will continue to do until the car is stopped and
then restarted. No blipping of the throttle will get it back up to 950.
Again, not a big problem, but a minor annoyance. Any ideas.
