S4 tires, Intended Acceleration

I recently subscribed to The List. After reviewing the archives on
the issue of tires, I'd like to confirm my impressions and see if anyone
has any other thoughts.
Last September, I bought a used 1994 S4 with 24k miles. The OEM
Continental Sport Contact CZ91 tires were pretty worn. I soon installed
steel rims and Blizzaks for the winter. (Best snows I ever bought). I just
put the Continentals back on again this weekend, and quickly realized it's
time for some new tires. (Of course, it snowed here in Michigan later that
day.)
I'm looking for spring-to-fall street tires that will do well in
our frequent rain (if it ever gets warm enough to do that). The current
tires are 225/50 16. I drive aggressively, but won't be taking the S4 to
the track. In reviewing the archives, although there are some conflicting
opinions out there, it sounds as though many of you like the Dunlop SP
Sport 8000 and D40 M2. I got the impression from one post that the D40 M2
might perform a bit better on wet pavement. Can anyone suggest between the
two Dunlops, and should I consider any other tires?
        My S4 doesn't have a CD changer (nor a very good-sounding stereo.)
Does anybody know if the S4 is by chance pre-wired for a changer in the
trunk? (I don't know if a CD changer was an option for 1994.)
BTW, I also installed the Intended Acceleration 274 HP chip upgrade
a few months ago and have been pleased. Have any other list members done
this upgrade to an S4? (My S4 replaces a Dodge Stealth R/T Turb--AWD,
twin-turbo, 300HP--and now the S4 only seems a *little* bit slower than the
Stealth.)
Wish I hadn't turned in my 1990 Coupe Quattro when the "Three Year
Test-Drive" was up. It was a much classier car than the Dodge, if also much
slower.
