Power steering pump

Well, at 154K my 4KCSQ has started making a "eh-eh...eh-eh-eh" sound when 
turning the wheel. The steering also feels a bit heavy. As far as I can 
tell there is no power steering fluid leaking anywhere and the fluid 
level never goes down. It seems to me that the pump must be going bad.

My questions are - How much should I expect to pay for a new pump? If they 
are astronomically expensive should I fool around with a used one? And 
finally, what is the pain-in-the-@ss factor for replacing it?
