my impression when i got in was "oh my, what is that brightwork!" and           
ergonomically speaking you don't want to grab someone's attention like that     
with trim pieces.                                                               
btw, if this was chrome it was a terrible job since i remember a more           
matted look - that's why i mentioned brushed Al.                                
i only sat in the car for a minute or two so i could be wrong.
