Seat heater element

My drivers seat heater does not work on my 200.  Two diagnosis later, 
both said the problem was the element.  I have both front and rear 
heated seats.  Can I switch a working rear element and put in the 
front?  That way it just the labor and save $150 for that little 
sucker!  My light kids never activate the current elements, so it's not 
like I use the rears.  Just don't know if they are the  same type, 
shape, size, etc.
