Rack Boot

Hi people,

Anyone have luck with repairing their rack boot?  Mine has a radial tear in
the center of one of the tie rods and is now two seperate pieces.

Seeing how this is a non-rotating part, and my rack is leaking reeeeeel
slowly, and I don't want to pull the thing apart to replace the boot and
then replace the rack next year (or possibly sooner), AND I really dont want
to replace the rack now anyway, possibly some kind of glue and/or generic
shock boot? cv boot? that I could use for a medium range fix??  The Gods
will probably fricassee my ass for even thinking of such a MacGuyverish
repair.  Oh well...
