Dan's Motor Fund

Don't worry Dan, "gifts" are not taxable to the recipient. If a true
gift (in IRS parlance "donative intent" which means the donor expects
nothing in return) recipeint not taxed. Only in unusual
circumstances, such as an employer givving a "gift" to an employee
does the IRS treat the monies as compensation. Since we are all
sending money that taxes have (presumably) been paid on, and no one
expects or gets anything material in return, monies not considered
income. Only those sending more than $10,000 have any tax issues
(those people can cc me and I will send adoption request forms).
