5000s quattros were available from 1986 thru 1988 with the non torsen
differential.....  Neil, the dealer or finance company should have the title,
and it should be correct....  Sounds like a scam to me, or DMV screwed up on
the title disposition.  19889> the 100q designated the 200 (5k body) non
turbo cars (torsen diff with auto disable rear lock), and I wrench on a 1990
version of same....  The 200 designated the turbo, either quattro or just fwd
turbo versions......

Regardless, the deal should be renegotiated if the dealer (intentionally or
not) advertised and represented the car as a year it was not.....
