What kind of springs are they? There are not very many brands of
spring out there, so someone here could probably comment on your exasct
springs. Let us know, and we'll give more details.

LOwering the car merely uses what suspension travel you already have in
tthe car. However, you may get closer to the limits if you lower it by
shortening the springs, so there is a potential fro bottoming out.

You can probablt get away with 215/50s. That's only 5% more height.
That may help a little on your wheel attrition.
