i went to pepboys to price the slave cyl last month and they had the rebuild    
kit listed for $30 +/-.   i ended up purchasing the complete slave at a furrin  
car place across the street and learned that pb usually calls them for parts    
like these.  pb was going to charge me $10 or so for shipping unless i wanted   
to wait "7 working days" (this on a saturday - so essentially 1-1/2 weeks).     
the fc parts guy says "it's a lot of work to come across the street and all".   
apparently the following scenario happens every day: customer calls fc parts    
place, parts guys sez "not in stock, we'll order it", customer sez "i'll call   
back", 5 minutes later counter man at pb calls fc parts place for the same      
part.                                                                           
moral: look in the yellow pages for yer local beck/arnley or some similar       
type of fc parts dealer and call them up (or ask pep boys to order it for you)  
btw, pb had a nice computerized system for looking up parts - he entered the    
year, make and model and selected clutch system and it was all there.
