this is wonderful news and perhaps the most forthright response we have gotten  
so far.  qcusa MIGHT have avoided some profuse bleeding if this information     
was made available a week or two ago.

doh!  "club members through the newsletter" = pay up first and wait for the     
next quarterly sometime this summer.

"read my tips" - i'm going to type this slowly for you.                         
the quattro list (not qcusa) is likely the single most active group of audi     
enthusiasts in the world.  if you respect that, the list is qcusa's biggest     
ally.  if you keep screwing around like this, the list will be your worst       
nightmare.  sending financial information to members is like preaching to the   
choir - necessary but expected.  the bare truth is that you are in the business 
of increasing the membership of the club.  this list of hardcore enthusiasts    
should be easy targets for you.  instead you or qcusa through their "policies"  
have chosen to alienate this group, which by the way includes many of your      
members and several or all of your regional presidents.  you have some rather   
severe damage to control yet the solution is astoundingly simple.  that is to   
provide a small amount of information to prospective members (and perhaps more  
importantly ex-members).  it is sad to see qcusa become the butt of jokes on    
an hourly basis and each time you respond with something that can be construed  
as a delay tactic, denial, avoidance or press release it fans the flames.
