Do your back-up lights come on when you shift into reverse?
Most of the time, when the upshift light stops working, it's the switch
on the transmission. This switch tells the light not to come on in fifth
gear and also works the back-up lights in reverse.
Shouldn't effect how the car runs, but in my state, the car won't pass
state inspection without back-up lights.
