     You're right about the looks, but......
     
     Carbon fibre's attributes don't lie in torsional rigidity.
     
     Except in the case of pehaps a complete monocoque where there are many 
     different surfaces. I don't think that a sigle tube would have the 
     strength that is need to be bennificial in that application.
     
     7075-T6 aluminum on the other hand???

Keep us posted about the Carbon Fiber stuff.
     
     
Someone might like you a lot if you can get hold of the dimensions of the 
strut tower and the distributor and brake fluid reservoir of the 5K. A nice 
light stiff strut tower brace would be fantastic.
     
Prolly not cheap to lay down fiber for that size. And need to prolly bond 
aluminum sleeves for bolting the brace to the strut tower.
     
but that would be impressive to see in the 5K engine compartment.
