Something seems to be wrong on my 1988 Audi 80.  If I have the
clutch pedal depressed, and I apply the brakes, the brake pedal
will slowly sink to the floor.

If I do not have the clutch depressed, the brake will still sink to the
floor, but very slowly - this I can live with.

What could the problem be ?  I don't know if my car has the 
"bomb" like my bigger Audi.
