Well, you know, I've been giving out too many secrets lately. My friends
who make a living working on these cars won't like it.
To answer your question, yes, Boge makes rear turbogas struts for this car.
Al Blanchard at A&P Specialties in Portland, OR (503) 254-7310 (does this
plug make up for letting the cat out of the bag?) has been using the Boge
FRONT TQC turbogas struts in the rear of the TQC as well. Dimensionally,
they are identical (the stock front and stock rear struts that is; of course
turbogas fronts are the same as the identical part used in the rear!). I'm
not sure about the valving, though. The owners of the TQCs that have used
this setup, love it. And these guys are "money is no object" types too.
The reason this "discovery" happened was that Koni rear struts were
back-ordered for 6 months, and Al needed a solution immediately. His
original thought was to use the turbogas Boges in the rear until the Konis
arrived, then swap them out. No one ever wanted him to swap the rear Boges
out; he's converted a few diehard Koni users to Boge this way.
I hope this helps.
P.S. I don't have the current part numbers; my new Boge, Koni, and Bilstein
catalogs haven't arrived yet. BTW, Boge has recently changed their part
numbers. This is a minor change if I remember correctly, dropping a few
numbers or changing a letter or something similar.
