new audis

Hey all,
Just had a discussion with one of the sales guys here who just got back 
from an AoA function in AZ. He said that the new 5v/6 is going to be 
available this fall in the 97 A4. He also said that Audi is going to 
continue the current A6 through next model year, and then introduce the 
5v/6 engine in the newly redesigned A6 for 97 1/2 or 98 model. 
I gave him a ride in my A4 with the Schaumberg throttle body, and he was 
impressed. Much improved low end acceleration for a pretty minor cash 
outlay. Preliminary impression is that my milage has stayed the same as 
well. Any ideas why Audi doesn't just put in those throttles as OE? That 
would certainly make it more competitive with other cars in its class 
with regards to acceleration. Just some thoughts.
