Shokan comes through

In the continuing saga of after run cooling sytem repairs (5KCST and tq),
Shokan shipped me my second used After Run relay. This one works - cooling
fan runs in low speed any time ignition on with AC in AUTO (function 3), and
with temp up, ignition off - cooling fan runs low speed (function 2) and
electric wasser pump runs (function 1)

Cost: 1/2 dealer - 1.5 QCUSA units ($50.00 for the unrepentant).

I'm going to troubleshoot the old one, and alternately may design a new
circuit. I'm considering using MOSFETs to ensure the minimum circuit load,
especially on the AC head output to this. Any EEs or ETs out there care to
comment? Charlie lurking...(of spring fame)?

On a related note, can anyone design a simple circuit as a 12V timer to
control this system? I really hate relying on a thermoswitch that costs 1
QCUSA and hard to get. 4 or 5 minutes on a timer should be enough under
virtually any conditions. Yeah, I know the turbo timer is avail (HKS?) - but
it looks kinda gaudy and out of place in a luxury sports sedan... I want
something unobtrusive (and inexpensive - said in a whisper so as not to
raise the ire...)
