I'm new to the group since last night, I have a 86TQC and the exhaust
manifold seems to have a leak.

I have been reading the past issues of the digest for this group, but its a
lot to wade through.  So, I'm trying to shorten my resolution search process.

Question:

Is it common to crack the exhaust manifold?

        Other than getting a OEM manifold, is there an alternative or
        aftermarket one that I should be looking into?

If your manifold is the same as those on an Ur-Q you could try speaking to Elrid
at Dialynx in Swindon (UK).  They make replacement manifolds which improve
gasflow and performance.  They charge L340 ($510) plus VAT and shipping.  Their
tel is +44 1793 772245, but you may have other alternatives in the US.
