A/C hoses

As an additional item to check on those underhood "yep, motor's still in there"
inspections:

If you check this when the motor's hot, you could lose a finger of two.  Fan
turning on, you know.

On the 5k/100/200's there is an insulated A/C hose that runs from the compressor
down past the fan, near the drivers side motor mount, and under the car.  This
hose is fairly soft, but has I think (hope) a metal core.  The motor mount
bracket has a sort of sharp edge that saws into this insulation.  I'm not sure
if it will saw into the core, but am not taking chances.  I'm installing a
sacrificial layer of rubber over the hose (inner tube, held on by wire bundle
ties) in the area of the motor mount.

An ounce of prevention is worth (at least) one qwesa.
