Brake Rotor q.

Hi Gang,

Just got my wonderful 28 lb. baby today.(rotors, pads and K&N spray oil)

Looked through the stuff(never played with disc rotors before) and found a
big ole' U shaped metal clip thing stuck into 2 of the vanes of one of the
rotors!

What is it? It looks like a metal sprung clip used to hold something in place.

Rotors aren't balanced that way, are they? Just wondering if there's
anything strange about ATE rotors I should know before I pry the clip thing
outta my rotor with the trusty 50 use-in-one flat-blade. (Now 51
uses-in-one)



Part b.
How does one tell an organic brake pad from a semi-metallic?
I thought I had ordered Repco Organics but the pads came in a MM( not the
candy) box. Guess It's time for me to slagmaster me new rotors.


It'll be fun oiling the filter and bedding in the pads. More excuse to take
pointless long drives from nowhere to nowhere.
