ISV, dashlites on 80

Mike, remember that I am one of the few with this
car also.  I have dealt with all these problems.

The 2.0 liter 4 banger does have an ISV, or atleast
mine does.  It is located above the valve cover towards
the firewall.  It's pretty easy to locate.

The fuel filter is under the car on the back just ahead of the
fuel tank on the passenger side. It's the same part that
goes in my bigger Audi however.

The dash lites are easy to do without removing the steering
wheel.  Watch out however.  The bulbs themselves are 
difficult to come by.  Audi part#  4A0-919-040C.  I could
only find it at the dealer at $3.25/ea (Clair - with discount).

Remove the cover behind the steering wheel.  Two screws on the
underside. Once that is removed, you will see two phillips 
screws holding the dash. Unscrew.  I had to replace several
bulbs. I just slid the dash forward and replaced them reaching
around the back. I have fairly large hands so I cursed. 
Whole process nevertheless took around half an hour. I did 
not disconnect the airbag lead - you probably should.
