   My beast made a strange sound when starting this morning and on 
   subsequent starts.  I thought it was the belts, but the shop tested the 
   starter and it was drawing 250 amps when hot.   They say it should only 
   draw that high when cold.  They think its got limited life on it.  Does 
   this sound correct?  If so, who has experience getting good rebuilt/new 
   started with our vendor list.

At 68F cold, my UrQ drew 101 - 105 amps. The engine is a low-compression
7:1, but 250 amps hot still sounds way high to me.
