Info from Europe

Ok, guys. Here are some informations from Austria/Europe.

First I want to say I like the USA very much and I have already been
there (a very short time). The costs for a car in your country are much
cheaper than here in Austria or in Germany. But it takes a long time
till the new Audi models are available in the US.

The new A8 is available in Austria for nearly 2 years now. I have read
the official sales start in the US is in October 1996. Bad for you guys.

First there was the A8 2.8 fwd and the A8 4.2 quattro. Then the A8 2.8
quattro came and then the A8 3.7 fwd. End of 1995 we had the A8 3.7
quattro at the dealer's.

Now there is the S8 available. It's the sport version of the A8 with 340
HP. Of course, it's a quattro.

And then there is the S6 plus. It has the same engine as the S8, but the
HP are "reduced" to 326. The acceleration is 5.6 seconds from 0 to 100
km/h (Sorry, but our speed isn't measured in mph).

And then in autumn 1996 we get the A3. It's based on the VW Golf IV. But
it's an Audi.
And Audi is planning the A2 (based on the VW Polo).
And the A3 is much better than the BMW compact! (of course)

By the way I drive a '91 Audi 80 Sport Comfort Edition and my father
drives the A6 2.6.

Hope you can need that infos from Austria.
