4kq window switches

DDear Quattrophiles-

I will soon be attempting to remove a defective window switch from the
center console of my 86 4kcsq.

Is removing the Center Console Trim piece the only way to remove one of
the switches, or can a switch be removed just by reaching from the ashtray
hole?

Is the switch panel part of the Center Console Trim piece?
