My driver's seat hasn't worked since I got my 5000 CDT last July, but
the passenger seat (front) has worked a few times.  Back seats both work
fine!

My GUESS is that it's for the locking mechanism.  On mine the trunk lock
is also (potentially) sync'd with the door locks, so when you lock the
doors, the trunk is also locked, and vice versa.

Remote trunk release would be handy.

Now THIS would be even HANDIER!  Now that it's summer again (almost),
my wife and I are wishing we had cup holders somewhere.  If you get any
good answers on this, I'm all "ears"!
