The BEL falses from the cell phone too!!?? That's completely
unacceptable in their price range. How disappointing.
When I used to use the uniden all the time, I used to turn it off to
make a phone call. I once got sloppy and got nabbed while gabbing on
the phone. With the unit on I would have had plenty of warning. Never
again will I use a unit that falses when the phone is on.

The Valetine does not false at all, not from phones, wipers, ignition, etc.
It's expensive, though.
