Climate Control blues.

Greetings fellow four ring owners.
 
Its getting warmer, and my 84 5000's heating problem is becoming more and 
more noticable.
 
The climate control is on its lowest setting (15) and I simply cannot 
turn it off. I'm stuck with constant defrost, and the driver's side 
footwell getting blasted hot air. Lemme tell you... driving with sandals 
for 100 KMs on a HOT day is not that fun. 
 
I know there could be 100 possible causes, but has anyone had experience 
here?
