Initially, I wouldn't either.  Now that I've had the same failure in my
1990 Coupe Q, I know better.  An independent shop diagnosed the hall sender
failure and replaced it.  I still had intermittent (hot start) hall sender
failures.  After taking my car to the dealer, they promptly replaced the
distributor, and the hot start problem went away.
