Euro lights

Hi all,

can anybody tell me which of the screws on the back of the lights are
for vertical adjustment and which one is for horizontal? Of course I'll
eventually find out, but...

And how do I wire the 2 relevant connectors from the US lighting setup
(parking and main headlight) into the one connector on the Euro light? 2
wires per leg in the connector?

As Joe pointed out, the battery terminal has to be moved off the washer
reservoir to make room for the much deeper lights. Has anybody figured
out where to put it instead and how to keep it wherever that is?

BTW, don't let your wiring flop around in the engine compartment (not
that I'd do that, but I've been told that...) if you can't wire it up
right away - say, if you're missing a certain connector or such. There
are some very hot parts over around the turbo that'll melt a connector
in no time. It's said to become a real piece of (smelly) art. Of course,
had it been me doing that, I'd be pleased that it was the old connector
and not the new Euro-style part :-)

Oh, a few more notes in installing the lights: I bought them from
Peninsula Imports and got good service. Quick and no fuss. They also
mentioned that I needed 2 parts/side from the dealer: a connector (P/N
447972957) and a seal for same (P/N 447941189). Barrier here didn't have
it in stock (it's a Euro part), so they had to order it. Don't forget
this extra lead time before those brilliant new lights can be installed
completely.

Installation was a relative breeze. Remove the grille. Take off the
chrome trim on top of the bumper. Take out the smashed up US lights and
slide in the Euro lights (removing the battery post in the process). Now
I just need to do the wiring.
