Strut brace for 5KCSTQ!
Guys,
I did it, sorta. I have an S4 strut brace on my 5KCSTQ. I had to
bend the cross bar around behind the brake master reservoir, but that is
only temporary until I cna work out a remote reservoir. Then I'll use a
straight bar. It seems to work well, although it isn't one of those night
and day mods. Turn in response seems to be alittle quicker. This is more
noticable at higher speeds. It also "feels" a little tighter in the front
end. The Eric shocks seem to work better too.
The bonus is that it wasn't too expensive at all. The top caps
that bolt to the Ùtop of the strut towers boïlt right on, with only slight
reshaping with a small hammer. There are a couple things that need to be
moved out of the way along the firewall, but even that is trivial.
Highly recommended overall.
