A4 alarm

I think someone mentioned the same thing recently, and
I never saw an answer.  Does anyone know how the A4's
alarm works, specifically the interior motion detector?
I've tried to make the alarm go off using the motion
detector, but have had no luck.  I've tried locking
and arming the car with the window open and reaching in,
waving my arms around.  I've tryed locking and arming
the car while still sitting inside, and trashing about.
Nothing seems to work.  Any ideas?  Has *anyone* gotten
it to work?
