Climate Control System

Does anybody know if the climate control system from a later model 80/90 is
a direct swap for the stock GM unit in my car?  More hassel and $$$ than it
is worth? I would like the upgrade.  Ti- you're right, this unit is some
truly wacky engineering.   
 
Also- don't know if this is in the archives but here goes.  Has anyone
upgraded their 90 coupe Q to a five bolt wheel?  Is this another money pit?
 I admit that the desire for this change is purely aesthetic, but it is
something I was wondering about.
