Thanks for the reply!  Sorry I didn't reply sooner, been on vacation, w/o
my car :(.  I do love my Quattro dearly.  Hopefully I can avoid some of the
problems that seem to befall many members of the list (knock on wood).  My
baby is an August child, rear bars ;), no tubular headers :(.  Are the
tubular headers better breathing than what Audi placed in the post-March
Q's?   
 
I'm  looking to upgrade the wheels.  The previous owner of the car traded
the OEM rims with a plain 5 spoke set from Audi.  The salesman told me that
the stock wheels had defective clear coat and Audi offered to replace them
or allow a substitution from the accessories catalog.  Did you encounter
this problem?  I want to get the BBS version of the stock rim in a 16"
size.  Luckily the Tire Rack has them on sale!  Now to only save my nickles
and dimes. 
 
Have you had any success getting that hood?  I've been following the thread
on the list and am very interested if it can be done for not alot of $$$$.
