Well, I first got almost the entire set done (look in the archive
for the exact list of names and prices from Linda@Carlsen). I also
got my new alignment at this time.

The car was joyous to drive for a while, but after about 3 months
it was doing the beached-whale imitation again. What seems to have
happened is that the one set I didn't replace suddenly took a whole
lot more wear since the rest of the car was so stiff. Eventually,
they pretty much failed.

They were the front bushing on the rear control arms. You can't really
get the bushings any more; Audi sells the whole RCA for about $200.
This is why I didn't replace them at first. BUT, it turns out that
these bushings wear only on one side. Swap them side-to-side (takes
but a few minutes), and VOILA!

It's been about a month, and the car rides like it's on rails.
