incorrect reading form trip computer

Hi all,


Anyone know where is the sender for the trip computer's Fuel consumption 
and MPG readings. The trip computer's Fuel comsumption and MPG readings  
seem having a way big different than it used to. It now reads 2.0 gallon 
for a 24 miles trip compared to 1.0 gallon from the past. Beside, it now 
reads 16.5mpg when cruising at 60mph compared to ~25mpg from the past. Is 
there something worng with the sender? Please help, Please help.
