VDO Instrument Repair - Archive Submission

I verified with VDO today that they do accept all instruments for repair,
including privately owned vehicles (contrary to what I had been told). Their
authorized service centers are as follows:

East Coast:
VDO - NA
188 Brooke Road
Westminster VA  22604

Nickel Speedometer - South Carolina

West Coast:
Palo Alto Speedometer
Pacific Parts
United Speedometer

Their phone number is 540-665-0100. Linda Kaufman is the service center
supervisor. Ballpark cost is $60-100.00 Circuit repairs can go higher. If
they get backed up in VA, they will farm out repair to one of the other
centers. Parts are sometimes difficult to get from Germany. All units are
tested and warrenteed.

Bottom line is if you go somewhere else, you takes yer chances. I got ripped
off - please don't let it happen to you.
