   Another, easier solution to get increased cooling out of your intercooler
   would be a fine spray of water onto the front of the intercooler when under
   boost (would be real neat to to tie this in to a manifold pressure sensor to
   make this happen automatically).  The evaporative effect should be quite
   impressive, especially if you use a highly evaporative liquid like alcohol

The "problem" I see (wonder about) with water spray would be the mineral
buildup on the intercooler fins after awhile. Using distilled water would
(presumably) cure this, or periodically soaking it in LimeAway (vinegar?)
or some such . . .
